* Art direction + content design + web design *about
I was briefed on a Thursday about a website in development for Apple Podcasts and given 24 hours to shape the content structure and the visual direction. I wanted it to feel intuitive, cohesive and a little playful—creative in a way that still made sense. It also needed to clearly communicate the Apple Podcasts toolbox for creators and make those resources feel inviting and easy to navigate. By the next day the direction was approved, and we immediately started booking photographers, talent and illustrators.
I was responsible for designing the website as well as art direction for three different types of content for the website: portrait photography, illustrations and photo illustrations
webdesign
Once assets were created, I laid out the visual design and worked closely with a production company on building and refining the website.photo illustrations

For the illustrations I developed the concepts, aesthetic and constraints, sourced the illustrator, and art directed everything from first sketch to final asset. This was so fun because I love translating complex messages into simplified ideas.

For the portrait series of well-known podcasters, I created the visual direction and briefs, selected the photographer in collaboration with the Photo Director, It was fun to contribute to the shoots in LA and NYC and I also oversaw and gave feedback on the retouch phase.Art Director: Christin Malen Andreassen
Overseeing Creative Director: Dave ladd
Photo Editor: Candice LawlerI wanted to illustrate the different bulks of content with a prop shoot and translated the subjects to tangible concepts for photo illustrations. I collaborated with the photo director to define the look for the props shoot, including finding the right team, choosing props, colors and concepts, and making sure everything lined up with the larger creative system. This was a fun one, with a really top team!
