All artists have their own ways of thinking about the visuals and creative around the music. Some don't really have that many preferences, while others think in image, shapes and colors while they work on their music. Emilie had loads of great ideas and thoughts which made the collaboration really interesting and forward leaning. We were lucky enough to find a really great and technical competent team for the production which was crucial to execute the vision we created for this project.

PHOTOS

Because we wanted to work with lasers, color, smoke and a bold expression, we needed a photographer who was strong both in aesthetic expression and the technical part of things, this is how we found Oktawian Gornik and it's hard to imagine getting where we got without him.

references

Collecting references for every bit and part and then having to imagine how these different pieces will come together, is always interesting as all team members brains have different references and ways of processing. These are some of the references we started with in this project, and then it kept growing and developing as we got further into it and added more heads and thoughts and ideas from the team to the mix.

Design

At the same time as we worked on the expression and visual language of the project, I also collected references, made a brief and sourced the right designer for the job. We found him on social media and had a great partnership, even if it was all over email. The final logo was intended to bring some sort of throwback, hard shapes, but at the same time have movement or be skewed in some ways.
